We went down to Cornwall earlier in the month and here is a little of what we got up to.
It was fabulous weather for Autumn - blue skies and balmy days...
... a mix of napping and play for Bingley and Darcy.
When the window steamed up, Mr Haven said "lets each draw a cat'"..
This was his effort... (looks more like a chimp?)
... and this one is mine (electric shock kitty)
We visited Fowey and basked on the veranda of the Fowey Hotel
.. gazed at the view..
.. admired the local knockers ..!
... indulged ...
.. fantasied about living by Readymoney Bay..
.. watched the boats.... and the sea ..
.. and, most important of all, visited Auntie.
(some of you know that she is in a dementia unit, which is the main reason for going down to Cornwall.
She is still going strong, but has begun repetitive movements, in this instance, the art of blanket folding.
Dear Aunt)
ALERT: we had all the oil stolen from the Cornish house (near Liskeard) while down there, so if you run on oil... it might be an idea to check on your security.
You two always take such lovely trips. Purrs to your aunt and your family...We hope that she's in a happy place in her own mind.
ReplyDeleteWe're sorry about the oil theft, though!
What a lovely series of pictures. The electric shock kitty was interesting to mom and I as a possibility to draw on our window panes when it the windows are steamed up! We like that!
ReplyDeleteCornwall is lovely. There is someone from Cornwall as a Contact that I see fairly often on my Flickr Photostream. Gorgeous scenery.
xox
What a mean thing to steal someone's oil. We hope you all cuddled up to stay cosy. The Cornwall pictures always are fantastic, it makes us all wish we could come along.
ReplyDeleteA lovely place to visit to be sure! And we are certain your Auntie would appreciate you looking in on her and ensuring all is well with her care giving :)
ReplyDeletethe critters in The Cottage xo
We're sorry your Aunt has dementia - my Gran did and it is very upsetting to see.
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy's Mum.
Hi Mom, Bingley and Darcy!! Bingley and Darcy I love your cubby holes. MOL at Mr. and Mrs. Haven's verison of steamy kitty art!! OMC what a very very nice weekend you had. I hope your Aunt was doing well and enjoyed your visit. Once Mom saw the ice cream cone her eyes glazed over she is a ice cream freak.
ReplyDeleteDid the thieves steal gasoline from your car? Oh MY word,
Hugs Madi
LOL. We love the electric shock kitty!

ReplyDeleteCan see that Mr Darcy and Mr Bingley found a really cousy spot there !
Really nice pictures from Cornwall , my mom would love to take a trip there I think :)
Not nice to steel your oil :(
Have a great week !!
What nice photos! I think Mr. Haven's drawing looks like our former president, though. Must be the ears. ;-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame about your oil. I would hope it was someone who really needed it instead of some mean person, but, you know, it was probably a mean person.
This post are so sweet!
ReplyDeleteI love that picture of Bingley and Darcy! Cornwall looks wonderful! Sorry about your oil! I'm super impressed with your kitty drawings!
ReplyDeleteWe love electric kitty! And we want one of those cones with a cadbury flake in it!
ReplyDeleteYou two look so cosy in your little curtained hideaway! What a shame about the oil - I'd heard about this happening in rural areas. Looks like you had a good time whilst visiting your much loved auntie:)
ReplyDeleteThose were great pics! I hate it that someone stole your oil, that is just mean!
ReplyDeleteGreetings to you Mr. Darcy and Mr. Bingley! Thank you for visiting our blog, we are delighted to make your acquaintance. Our Mum says you two are "beautiful" but we think you both are very handsome and dapper. The Cornwall visit looks fabulous... our Mum has only been to London on your island, although many of her favorite authors like Ms. Austen, the Bronte sisters and Gaskell have taken her all over it!
ReplyDeleteThanks fur stopping by our blog! What a couple of cuties you are! Great photos! We're following your blog now.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice trip you had! We like those kitty drawings...Mrs. Haven's a little better, though.
ReplyDeleteOh how lovely it all looks down in Cornwall, how do Darcy and Bingley get on with going on holiday? I'd like to book a cottage somewhere and take the kitties (hence the leash training) but I'm not sure what they'll make of a strange place, they have only ever lived with the breeder and then us!
ReplyDeleteP.s. i checked out your crafting post, looking forward to seeing the results! :)
What sort of tortoise are you looking to adopt? Our two female land tortoises have been with us for more than 10 years. They have such funny personalities. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Darcy and Bingley! We like your cubby hole. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful photos! What a lovely place Cornwall looks to be.
