our idea of Christmas

Hello dear fellow bloggers!
Here we are wishing you all a most happy and peaceful festive period ...

Darcy and Bingley
(preparing the tree, in their own special way!)

N-O-E-L, out come the decorations.

The little fairy is over 90 years old and much cherished
(haven't indicated this to the boys because they would probably try and bite her head off).

Bingley assists (not) with decoration assembly!

Present wrapping?
get in there..!

Mr Bingley shows what he thinks of a spot of festive cookery ...
(the tail of disdain)

Guest bed: warmed by a feline welcome.

she said... then we said

She said...  "Do you realize if it weren't for Edison we'd be using our PC by candlelight?"

We said... "yes, let us embrace your technologies ”

But..  she went forth (she spoke in her sleep of travel and much work)...

When she returned we insisted ... allow us to show off ourselves  with our dear Blogging friends even be it with a mere candle to light the PC...

[2 weeks spent negotiating rain, PC access and asserting our feline presence over mere human ones]

working at 5 AM?! "I forbid you"

Sunday Morning - More like it....

Bingley

"Give that PC a break..."

Mr Darcy (and Bingley behind)

"Cease the PC and focus on ME"

Bingley shows how coffee breaks are done...

Darcy

says... place a bum on it!

our Manderley

Time again to return to Cornwall.

Visiting dear Aunt and tending to her home on her behalf.
Late October such a quiet, unassuming but beautiful time of year.

The orchard following the grass cut and collection of the fruit fall ...

Chin to knee on the orchard wall, cooled with dew and cherries eating. ”

“May you find serenity and tranquility
in a world you may not always understand”

When we left Aunt, we went down into Looe to have a drink in the old Salutations with friends and while walking there we saw this cat in the window of a posh clothes shop. It was after hours but clearly he had sneaked in and was bedding down on an angora jumper ....
We have seen him in Looe many times and have been told he lives - mainly - with one of the shop owners in the street, but shares himself with others, as and when.
In this case... he felt in the mood for a night of luxury.

Coffee and a spot of time out ...

.. for all concerned ...

..  and then when we left, we locked up to this from the sitting room window.

Left - Tumble drier: inside is Mr Bingley
Delicate cycle only. Fluff up when done.

Right - Washing machine: Mr Darcy
Do not use detergent. Dry flat in sunshine.

Appearances can be deceptive.
No felines were washed (or dried) in the making of this post.

it's just not cricket

Mr Bingley

I was outside relaxing .. when my curious streak got the better of me ..

so I went forth ...

pausing by the herbs, I had a sudden thought!

I could go on a cricket hunt...!

I took up station on the grass and scrutinised it without blinking for a whole minute.

anything that moved I examined ...

 ... very closely

But this is all I found. I'll hunt again tomorrow!

holes, planes and sea

Hello everyone
It feels so good to be writing this after the debacle of the blog photo storage issue we have had.
Before we share our recent trip to the seaside, can I say thank you again to those of you who helped us. I don't know what I would have done without you.
(given up blogging probably).

We went to Beer in Devon for a long weekend.
The weather was perfect!

We made the most of the deckchairs...

... and ate teacakes in the beach cafe called Chines, near Seaton.

When we walked up from the beach cafe we saw that the cliff road was cordoned off.
There had been a landslide!
There are houses further down. The home owners must be scared.

Romance isn't dead and we delighted at the vintage plane in Beer bay pulling its flag message...
(can you see what it says?)

"Sebrina, will you marry me?"

.. and for the first time we visited Pecorama
the views and gardens were beautiful and the train ride captivating!

And then we came home to a welcome all of our boys own making!

MESSAGE
Dear fellow bloggers

Further to our message below, thank you so much for your comments, especially the detailed ones left for us on facebook.
We are still sorting it out but at least know what to do.
For the benefit of others... see this post on Jan's Funny Farm ...

This is just to say that we are having problems posting.
We keep being told we don't have sufficient storage when we try to upload photos.
Trying to understand why and what to do.
Will visit you all as much as we can.
.
Love from the Havens xxx

Mr Bingley
I am a true 'lap' cat.
Lying in Mrs H's laptop case is a favourite pass time.
Just try to uninstall me!
