Time again to return to Cornwall.
Visiting dear Aunt and tending to her home on her behalf.
Late October such a quiet, unassuming but beautiful time of year.
The orchard following the grass cut and collection of the fruit fall ...
“When I sound the fairy call, gather here in silent meeting,
Chin to knee on the orchard wall, cooled with dew and cherries eating.

Official orchard clearing inspector!

.. and the reason for coming ...
“May you find serenity and tranquility
in a world you may not always understand”
When we left Aunt, we went down into Looe to have a drink in the old Salutations with friends and while walking there we saw this cat in the window of a posh clothes shop. It was after hours but clearly he had sneaked in and was bedding down on an angora jumper ....
We have seen him in Looe many times and have been told he lives - mainly - with one of the shop owners in the street, but shares himself with others, as and when.
In this case... he felt in the mood for a night of luxury.
“There is no den in the wide world to hide a rogue”
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
The best Bus Stop ever! (Fowey).
Underneath the painted figure it reads...
“Last night I dreamt I went to Manderley again..."
~ Daphne du Maurier, Rebecca
Coffee and a spot of time out ...
.. for all concerned ...
.. and then when we left, we locked up to this from the sitting room window.
“Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain
or usher storm, but to add colour to my sunset sky.”
~ Rabindranath Tagore, Stray Birds
