Thursday in the garden - Deer Park?
My brother sent me these photos. Snow all melted, not so heavy in Bath as it was here in Henley-on-Thames. Coming down in the morning, he did a double take as he gazed up the garden path (in his dressing gown!). This creature to add to his sighting of a dog fox, badgers, toad, squirrels (oh, and Snowy, next doors cat - amongst other local felines). I know for some of my readers, such a creature as a deer is far from rare, but for us... in the back garden... its a sight!

Thursday in a snowy garden
Following on from last Thursday, Mrs H managed to take a shot of the ginger lovely who visits our garden...here she is..
Its been very WHITE here, we've never seen snow before and we LIKE it, in fact we even ended up rolling in it! (woof)
A cautious Bing
... not such a cautious Bing now.. (he sat on the frozen pond!)
.. chew of the grass calls ~ when its frozen! (Darcy)
... why grass, when you can have twig! (Bing)

indoor twinkles
It was with considerable surprise and unsuppressed glee that we assisted Mrs H with a TREE for the conservatory! It was a bit weird and not at all like the trees outside. Bingley tried climbing it but he is such a big boy (he he) that he toppled out of it (in fact the tree fell over, which is a new one on us, but great fun nevertheless)
LATEST UPRIGHT TREE SCORE:
Cats 3 (Bing pulled it over twice, Darcy just the once but he is working on it)
Tree nil (not a single day yet passed in an entirely upright position)

Its a classic
We have only just got around to examining this classic. Its been made clear to us that it is Mrs H's favourite so we just HAD to bite it because presumably it tastes good!?
.. are you sitting comfortably?... "once upon a time there were two gorgeous leading cats, called Mr Darcy and Mr Bingley ..."

Dogs eh?
... Oh, but you can train a dog....they say;
... and dogs love to play ball games... they say;

Allow me, once again, to introduce you to THE delightful, THE special... THE one and only, Mr BINGLEY!

Thursday in the garden
What could top the delight of jumping on the heads of Mr and Mrs H, extra early this morning (the sun was shafting through their curtains... come on!!!)?
Well, quite alot! We stuffed down breakfast, chewed a dressing gown belt to a thread, yakked up a long grass by the bookcase (Darcy), pretended to doze as Mrs H walked by in her work suit... WE POUNCED HER puuuurrrrrurrr ..prodded with claw....(the resulting SQUAWK was most rewarding!).
Then we headed for the door. Waited. Waited. Waited some more.
Mrs H was really quite long to get back to us (but she had on fresh tights so worth it! "to claw, or not to claw" ~ immediately that is - but either way we will get her later! puuuurrru chrrrwwwhhh). She unlocked the door and we.. paused... rubbed.. suddenly BOUNDED outside.

Initial delight was tempered by WET
...green stuff clung to whiskers (well Darcy's)
... and to tails (Darcy's again) He He
But none of this seemed to happen to Bing! HE was like a beautiful white regal fluff ball, despite wet green and dirt... (he will pay later!)
Darcy
... But who cares for appearance when you can 'seek and possibly FIND'!!
beautiful wet pebbles (supporting props)
Mrs H just had to show off these because she delighted in them :-)
