Boys can do Pink

On the colour PINK
It should be noted that as late as 1950's, it was still considered a "boy" colour.
So let us see ...
... Mr Bingley ...

... Mr Darcy ...

... and the two going pink together...

In this household pink is for the boys in 2012!

(we know it doesn't look like it in these shots, but Mrs H actually loves green best!)

  1. Our mom loves green best too. :-)

Kim here...Actually, I didn't know until last year sometime that red/pink was a boy's colour until very recently--pink being close to red, which is a power colour, of course. I had been listening to a REALLY interesting CBC radio program (one of many episodes) on the history of advertising, and baby gender advertising was one of the topics covered.

  26. Hoorah for pink! I just thought I'd let you boys know that you've cheered up a poorly girl. Little Treasure is a tad under the weather today. Knowing how much she loves our two furry purries, I thought I'd show her your lovely blog. She whooped and chuckled with delight when she saw you on screen and even waved at your photos! If she had learnt to talk yet I'm sure she'd send you a big "hello"!! Bye for now, Katie xxx

  27. I'm a pink girl through and through and when I first started blogging my whole blog was pink. Then I thought I better change it to something more masculine since all my cats are boys. Nice to know that Darcy and Bingley are secure enough to let their love of pink shine :-)
