a game of tag

Give an inch and he takes a mile!
A lesson for Mr Darcy when he discovered Elwood from next door playing in H I S tub.

Elwood enjoying wriggle time

Mr Darcy attempts an inspection but is ignored (and is too shy to push it)

But he deploys a spot of cunning ...

...and hides in the big trug ...
surely he cannot be seen from in there while he monitors the situation!

... surely?

... ears flat, just the odd whisker poking up ...

But then reinforcements arrive in the fluffy shape of brother Bingley!
The take-over is complete, with Bingley and Darcy encamped.
Elwood is banished to the shrubs.

Darcy and Bingley wallow in victory

But as the sun goes in, and the brothers go inside for their tea...
Elwood claims a prize for his persistence!

and relaxes in the trophy seat!

  1. We loved your post today, Helen! Well, we always love them, but we delighted in this little tale of three kitties.

    That last photo is priceless!

Hugs to the Lads and a big hello to Mr. Elwood

With a special hug to you,

  2. Such drama at your place! So glad an amicable solution was reached in the end. :)

Hugs and headbonks to you all, dear ones.

  3. The trophy seat is purrfect. They always say good things come to those who wait.

  4. MOL! We think that was Elwood's plan all along. :)

  5. We sure enjoyed that fun series gang!

  6. Darcy and Bingley you are two are very clever you trumped your neighbor cat's attempt to annoy by
    playing too!
    Hugs madi your bfff

  7. That Elwood is a clever boy :)
Good to see your boys again :)

  8. Ha, Ha - Elwood certainly had a cunning plan! Bless those boys for working together to see him off though:)

  9. I love back yard dramas! An amicable and just ending as well! Love thy neighbor!

  10. At least there was no noisy cat fight!!!

  11. I love the wallowing! Clever Elwood got the last laugh, though!

  12. How very cute! Love that picture of Mr Darcy "monitoring" from the big tub. Like the saying goes, good things come to those who wait, right Elwood?

We would like to thank you for stopping by our blog to offer your kind and comforting words when we lost our Whisky and Pok in early May. It meant a lot to us.

  13. Great antics as always. Hello to all from Liz, Boris & Maisie x
