MESSAGE
Dear fellow bloggers

Further to our message below, thank you so much for your comments, especially the detailed ones left for us on facebook.
We are still sorting it out but at least know what to do.
For the benefit of others... see this post on Jan's Funny Farm ...

This is just to say that we are having problems posting.
We keep being told we don't have sufficient storage when we try to upload photos.
Trying to understand why and what to do.
Will visit you all as much as we can.
.
Love from the Havens xxx

I am a true 'lap' cat.
Lying in Mrs H's laptop case is a favourite pass time.
Just try to uninstall me!

the key to a holiday

We have come away on our holidays to beautiful Cornwall.

Bingley                                  Darcy
We love holidays and this is because we know what is required to enjoy ourselves.

Play is training for the unexpected so our toys always accompany us.

Darcy
We appreciate the worth of water from all the new taps.

Darcy
No grass is greener on the other side,
this is because we have grass to chew inside ...

Bingley
... and outside.

Bingley
The summit is just a halfway point.
So new heights to scale.

Bingley (above) Darcy

There is no delight in doing anything unshared.
(including cupboard love) so more the merrier.

Bingley
I haven’t been everywhere but it’s on my list.
Discover new things.

Darcy

Rest is never idleness.

Bingley

The first condition of understanding a new part of the country is to SMELL it!

Bingley

Time on holiday is to be savored.
If you have a holiday coming up we hope you have a lovely one!

we are one afterall

"Coming together is a beginning;
keeping together is progress;
working together is success"
~ Henry Ford

The carefully planned 'cross-over' ...

Leading smoothly into the 'follow-my-leader'...

Topped by some 'synchronised scratching' ...

Blended with the 'double observation' ...

Followed by the 'twin ant scrutiny'...

Very nearly scuppered by the 'you go first position'...

Saved by the '4 eyes better than 2' gaze ...

Softened by the mutual 'bring on the grooming pose' ...

(But let's not forget a real relationship is two-way)

It ain't no fun if you can't share it ... dreaming included!

"I may not always be with you
But when we're far apart
Remember you will be with me
Right inside my heart"

~ Marc Wambolt (Poems from the Heart)

Vandal by any other name

I was lounging around the garden, feeling a tad bored.

Mr Bingley

Then it occurred to me.
Why sit around waiting?
I should go forth ...
.. to where THEY are... (birdies)

So I did.
First I climbed the tree ...

... sitting still by the birdie treats
(no birdie could see me, I felt sure!)

.. then I clambered up to the very tree top where the birdies swoop in ...
(but eventually I found myself yawning again)
I came down ...

.. and then the bombshell hit!
I should go forth to the birdie meal station direct!

Even though Mrs H came outside at the exact moment I had this bombshell,
I just went right ahead!

Once I had the meal station on the ground (albeit a bit broken), I was most disappointed to discover
NO BIRDIES!

However, on the positive, I wasn't bored anymore because Mrs H was with me while she went about mending the bird table.
It was a good 45 minutes of entertainment because she never has the right screws.

illuminate

Katie Isabella won an award called 'illuminate' and now she has asked me, her friend Mr Darcy, to participate too by illuminating something about me!

Darcy

One of the special things about me is my voice.
I have a lot to say and do.
I can hold an ever rising note for at least 20 seconds.
Sometimes I just walk around yowling and sometimes I prefer to hold eye contact and do it.
If I am coming to find Mrs H, then I shout out that I am coming from the very moment I set off, until I locate her. This is especially enjoyable if I know she is making an impawtant telephone call and the person she is speaking to thinks she is at work!

birdie patrol

At this time of year we like to assist Mrs H with birdie patrol and support duties (her words not ours).
But sometimes we get the sense that she would rather we occupy ourselves doing something else.

We go ahead and assist anyway!

Bingley
... here I am... what needs doing?

a spot of birdie food tasting?

... checking on the nesting furs (yes its ours)

Darcy
Personally, I like to take on the job of sorting through the seeds..

... but sometimes I get distracted - now let me see what the flies are up to in the greenhouse ..

Bingley
Now all the birdie food is in place... I STALK ...

sit, stare.. and wait

.. and perhaps doze a little (relax is my middle name)

Darcy
I watch and wait too...

AND if YOU were a birdie this is what YOU would see...
Note:  in 3 years: birdie catches = Nil
